An AI influencer is a big hit with men on social media. Some of them have no idea she’s fake.
Her fans think they’ve found true love – but it’s actually a computer program. Milla Sofia is one of the world’s first AI-generated influencers. Her social media profile literally says: “I am a 19-year-old virtual girl from Helsinki, Finland. I was created by AI. Check out my other accounts from the link below.”
Although such a blonde beauty designed according to some computer model is quite demonstrably fake, she enjoys great popularity on both Twitter and Instagram. Especially by men, who often have no idea that the girl is fake. And those who do know, don’t care. Because as long as she’s sharing hot photos from a holiday by the sea, on a boat or in the big city, they’re liking her like crazy.
Anyway, the generated captions for her photos are also interesting. In one, she is wearing an orange work vest and helmet, and underneath the hashtags #diversitymatters and #womeninwork, with a caption saying she is proud to support women construction workers. However, make no mistake, Milla is not really about any great outreach. In fact, right below the next photo, it says that the work was hard, so she had to take her clothes off. Basically, if it weren’t for the fact that this beauty is perfectly artificial in every photo, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell her from real influencers. Which is quite respectable on the one hand, but quite scary on the other.
