Asus has set records for cooling new 14th generation Intel processors to extreme temperatures, even before the new processors have had a chance to warm up properly on the shelves. This exceptional performance has earned it recognition from ROG Lab.

Lab members tested the ROG Maximus Z790 Apex Encore motherboard and the Intel Core i9 14900KF processor, which was cooled at extremely low temperatures using helium. The result was a 9,044 MHz clock speed, which means that the magical 9 GHz threshold was surpassed. This amazing performance was achieved by a Swedish overclocker nicknamed “elmor.”

This achievement included setting a new record in the Cinebench test. Specifically, the R20 test version managed to achieve 12,490 points at a processor frequency of 7.7 GHz. The results also show a maximum power consumption of 355 W.

In addition, a new record was set in the SuperPi 32M benchmark, where a user with the nickname Fredyama miraculously reached 3 minutes, 3 seconds and 230 milliseconds with an overclocked processor. The RAM frequency was also pushed to an astonishing 11,614 MHz. These results demonstrate not only the exceptional capabilities of Intel’s new processors, but also the innovative cooling methods that are capable of achieving such performance.
