Apple in 2025: Revolutionary iPhone SE, smart HomePod and more!

30. 12. 2024 | Natalie Bezděková

Like this year, Apple plans to introduce a number of new products next year. It’s already clear that, in addition to the expected 17 iPhones, we’re going to see some other interesting electronics. Based on the available information and leaks, what exactly can we expect?

New iPhone SE (4th generation)

One of the most interesting and key products of next year should be the new iPhone SE. Apple currently offers more expensive Pro models and more affordable entry-level variants, and even these are still cost-prohibitive for many. The new iPhone SE should fill a gap in the price range of around 10-15 thousand CZK. According to available information, it is to be based on the iPhone 14 in design, which means the end of the Home Button and the transition to an OLED display, but probably with a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Face ID is expected to replace Touch ID and will be integrated into the classic cutout, not the Dynamic Island cutout.
Performance should be provided by an A18 chip with 8 GB of RAM and of course, a USB-C connector. As for the cameras, Apple is likely to take a more economical approach – we’ll only find one 48Mpx sensor on the back. This model could also be Apple’s first device to feature its own 5G modem. It’s scheduled to be unveiled in March 2025.

Smart display “HomePod”

Another interesting product is the HomePod smart display, with which Apple is targeting the smart home segment. This device should combine a screen and speaker, with Siri integration and connectivity to other products within the Apple ecosystem being a key feature. The display with a diagonal of around 6 inches should support apps like Safari, Notes or Apple Music. There should also be a camera for FaceTime, an integrated battery and a high focus on security. This product too is expected to arrive in March.

MacBook Air with M4 chip

MacBook Air laptop lovers can look forward to new models equipped with M4 chips. These will offer 16GB of RAM as standard, a 12MP camera with Center Stage support, and the optional “nano” display finish that was so successful on the MacBook Pro. The design will remain unchanged, as will the two display sizes – 13 and 15 inches. The MacBook Air with the M4 chip is expected to be introduced in the spring.

The new 11th generation iPad

There isn’t much information about the next base iPad model yet. However, it is expected to support Apple Intelligence, 8 GB of RAM and a more powerful chip compared to the previous generation. There is also speculation about the integration of a new modem, although the date of introduction remains unknown.
