Even small projectors today can produce surprisingly good quality images, but calling them a full-fledged home cinema would be premature – for a true movie experience, you need a quality sound system.

But all these components have been squeezed into the NexiGo Aurora Pro, which despite its features still remains compact enough to fit in a backpack, making it easy to carry.

The first thing that strikes one about the NexiGo Aurora Pro is its compact dimensions – specifically 54.71 × 12.22 × 40.75 cm and a weight of 9.9 kg. It’s reminiscent of older DVD players, but offers a lot more features. This model is a full-fledged home cinema with all the necessary features.

The main role here is played by the triple laser projector, which provides more vivid and accurate colours. According to the manufacturer, it can display over one billion colours and covers a wide BT.2020 colour gamut of 107%. At IFA 2024 in Berlin, it showed off rich colours even in harsh sunlight, which is testament to its high quality luminosity of up to 2400 lumens. The projector can conjure up 80 to 150 inches (2 to 3.8 metres) of 4K resolution from just half a metre away. You can further enhance the image quality by using a high-quality screen.

The Aurora Pro boasts a low latency of 9ms, making it suitable for gaming. It also supports 3D display, bringing the movie experience closer to real cinema. Sound-wise, the device surprises with four 60W converters that can create a deep audio experience. On the busy IFA 2024 exhibition floor, the sound completely eliminated ambient noise.

The projector is richly equipped with connectors – in addition to the network interface, it offers three HDMI ports, two USB connectors and audio inputs for both analogue and digital connections. There’s also WiFi support for wireless connectivity and smartphone content mirroring.

The price for this model is $2,699 (approx. $60,960) as part of the IFA 2024 trade show event, while the regular price is $2,999 (approx. $67,730).
