The head of a team of more than 100 developers has revealed that the remake of Fallout 2, known as Project Arroyo, is making significant progress. The project is focused on bringing the iconic game into a first-person perspective with the goal of releasing on Steam. However, the team must take certain precautions before the planned release.

Damion Daponte, the acclaimed game developer leading the team, said he would like to get the project on Steam, inspired by the success of Enderal: Forgotten Stories, which was the model for Skyrim. However, the move to Steam is not without its challenges, as the team is working on the same engine as Fallout 4, and legal issues around ownership and licensing must be resolved.

On the social network X, the Project Arroyo account has many new posts regarding updates on locations, maps, and other details of the Fallout 2 remake. Daponte is also considering making Project Arroyo accessible on Steam Deck, but is uncertain about the functionality of mods on that platform.
