The merger between HP TRONIC and NAY was approved by the Czech Competition Authority (ÚOHS) in March and has now also been cleared by the Slovak Antimonopoly Office (PMU).

This authorisation was key to their planned merger. The integration of the two groups, operating well-known brands such as DATART, ETA, Electro World and NAY, responds to the current market dynamics, which are facing the strength of online retailers and global marketplaces.

Daniel Vecera, CEO of HP TRONIC, emphasized the importance of this event and its potential to bring new dynamics to the market. The HP TRONIC and NAY groups are leading players in the consumer electronics industry with a rich history. The new merger will bring synergistic benefits and focus on improvements for customers, employees and investors.

The approval of the merger is seen as a positive step for both companies and customers. Petr Zálešák, Chairman of the Board of NAY, expressed his excitement about the merger and highlighted the potential for sharing expertise and increasing the efficiency of operational processes. Representatives of both companies stress that the merger will not bring any changes to existing contractual obligations, including claims.
